"a very good river rod for a very good price. every fly fisherman wants to own a orvis rod as they rate among the top ones. the only problem with the service is the courier leaving the rod out side the house for anyone to take."

"I bought this rod about two weeks ago, and I am very delighted. I can really rope some fly line with it, it presents the fly nice but yet like I said it really ropes the line. Great product at a very great price!! I would recommend to anyone."

"I just returned from a 3 day trout fishing trip to North Georgia. The Clearwater rod paired with the BBS III performed flawlessly on Rainbows up to 5 lbs. The rod is light, responsive, and has enough backbone to properly fight a big fish. The tip is light enough to make precision cast in tight stream and put just enough pressure on a fish when required. I would reccomend this rod/reel combo for beginners and advanced fishermen alike."

"I bought an 8'6" 5 wt (2 piece) about a year ago. It has held it's own on the trout streams, bass fishing and on erie's steelhead. It casts smoothly, especially in the intermediate range, from 20 to 30 feet. It doesn't quite have the power to fight the wind, which is the only downside I've found. But, it's a great quality at an affordable price."

"I picked up this rod a while ago and used it lightly. Recently, I pulled it off the shelf to get the kids out and had an absolute blast with the action this rod provided. I don't know why, but I appreciate this rod now more than when I bought it. The flex and action is absolutely perfect. It was fun to cast. I only wish I had purchased a 4 piece in order to bring it on trips and that there were alignment dots on the ferrules. Do not underestimate this rode due to its price. This is a great buy."

"I recently purchased a Orvis Clearwater II 8'6, 2-piece, Mid-Flex 6.5 fly fishing rod for 5-wt. line, 3 oz at my local Orvis dealer, and i cant say enough about the deal that Orvis was giving me. I was able to buy the Rod, an Orvis BBS Reel, fly line and all already on it, and ready to go fishing. Later that week, I tried the rod on the stream and how great was it! I was able to detect all the hits when nymph fishing, the rod was balanced greatly, and cast smoothly. Great rod for buy, and I highly recomend to anybody thinking about buying a, Orvis Clearwater II Fly Rod."
