"These pants are very comfortable and durable. The stiching and the buttons are all heavy duty. These pants will last forever, in fact im going to order another pair or two."

Great work pants!,
20 January 2012
By: Ladybel
"The pants fit well, allow plenty of freedom of movement, and have pockets enough for EVERYTHING. No other pants have stood up as well to the work-related abuse these have received. Would recommend them highly to anyone who has a job to do that requires you to have many items within hand's reach, such as carpentry."

"Comfortable pants, but they need to have their manufacturers sew buttons on better. they shouldn't fall off prior to even being washed."

Great Casual Slacks,
29 December 2011
By: Linsa
from San Antonio, TX
"My husband doesn't usually rave about clothing, but he bought a pair of these pants in tan last fall and wore them all over Europe. He really wanted the olive color. So although they seem a bit expensive to me, I bought him another pair (in olive) for Christmas. He says the fabric and fit are just terrific. They wash well too. A solid winner!"

Just right,
07 November 2011
By: Gaucho
from Buenos Aires, Argentina
"The right combination of fabric weight and cut, combined with masses of storage mean these are destined to become a real favourite.
Personal preference of studs to 'velcro' for fastenings, otherwise it would be the full 5 stars.
Good loking and useful too!

Best cargo pants on the market,
03 November 2011
By: Jeux
from Charlotte NC
"Every year I have been going through various cargo pants and shorts but none of them had the features I wanted and they all wore out quite fast. Until I tried the Orvis Expedition Poplin cargo shorts I thought I would never find a light, comfortable and rugged short that would work for me. Once it starting getting cold the logical choice for me was the Expedition pants. As long as Orvis keeps making them, they'll be may standard for casual/work pants."

Pleated? Ick. Fits okay though.,
25 October 2011
By: kirklandrichard
from kirkland, wa
"Fit was okay but they are pleated and therefore useless to me. Perhaps Orvis can include that in the item description or make it more obvious in the picture so people who want flat front don't waste their time here. Also the weight seems much heavier than the advertised 6.2oz. These feel like they are the weight of a heavy canvas, certainly heavier than denim."
Response from Orvis:By Orvis Customer Service Team06 December 2011
Orvis contacted this customer and let him know we were sorry to hear he wasn't happy with his purchase. We thanked him for his honest feedback. We have updated our web description that these pants are front pleat. We are always striving to improve the products we offer and learn a great deal from our customers.

hey - they're ace,
21 September 2011
By: nuttywalt
from Devon UK
"Not bought clothing from Orvis before (love their fly rods though) and I'm fussy about cut and quality. These may be on the expensive side but they're worth it. Comfortable fit, full of pockets that don't spoil the lines and the material is the ace bit - summer's finished but I know they're going to be a first choice next year for the smart casual affair in any warm weather and I'll be the most comfortable one there. Maybe wish I hadn't chosen 'stone' as the colour though - the trousers are smarter (and the colour 'whiter') than I thought and I'll now be wearing them on smarter occasions, not so much for just lounging around in, which I was expecting. Any mark is going to show. Better to have gone for khaki or darker but who cares - I'm happy I've got them and will add other colours if they're still in the range next time I'm feeling flush. Quite fancy one of those leather jackets but I'd need a lottery win!! Go for these trousers though. 10/10"

Travel pants,
21 July 2011
By: regolg3dance
from Clearwater Florida
"I ordered these travel pants for my husband so he would have a light weight, neat and comfortable pant with lots of pockets that are tidy looking verses bulky.
He loves them and I love the way they look on him. They are not overly baggy, actually flattering. The picture on the website shows them as wrinkled, but they are not."

I would purchase again.,
13 July 2011
By: kansasconnection
"Product could be reinforced in the button and zipper area, taking into consideration this product is going to be put to hard use in remote areas. You do not want failures.
Product fits and looks good. Will be put in service in Alaska wilderness in August and then if succesful will be used in Africa.
Good texture and feel to fabric."

Loads of pockets,
06 July 2011
By: drcoyote

"Pants are appropriately sized and fit well. There are certainly loads of pockets---more than I can imagine using. It will prove very functional for spring and fall fishing expeditions. Only drawback is the velcro. I am not a big fan of closing pockets with that material."

Good- but needs improvement,
06 July 2011
By: Haderach
"7/6/2011
I expect a higher level of quality than typical from Orvis and these pants don't quite make the cut.
The material is excellent and the adjustable waist makes for a perfect fit. But one of the waist buttons came off on the FIRST wash. Snaps would be so much better here than buttons. Also, I like having several pockets but on the right side there are SEVEN pockets. It is like wearing a small backpack sewed to your leg, heavy and bulky even when empty. Overall I am happy with these pants. But a little tweaking would raise them to the level I expect from Orvis.

Good Vacation Khaki's,
04 July 2011
By: DallasBob
"I bought based on the need, while traveling with our very young granddaughters, to carry so many small things with us. Well they worked well & I didn't run out of pockets plus they looked good & were very comfortable . The bad thing was the more I carried with me the more they wanted me to carry for them! But the khaki's were light comfortable and traveled well."
