Sahara Cloth Leather-Faced Briar Trousers
A new crotch gusset feature gives these trousers more comfort than ever. It allows plenty of room for climbing over obstacles without stressing seams during your hunt. Boasting a pig-suede facing and calf guard teamed with Sahara Cloth, a densely woven British cotton poplin treated with a water-resistant dry-wax finish, these are rugged outdoor performers. These trousers are an idea from a legendary Vermont sportsman who's been pushing through cover for 70 years. Suspender buttons. Rear button-through pockets. In khaki. Shell: 100% cotton with 100% pigsuede facing. Washable. Trousers in even waist sizes: 32-46. Plain finished up to 35" at no extra charge.

"These are great for chasing blue quail and other critters through the west Texas scrub. I agree, they would tend to get heavy if wet though. I found they were easy to launder as well, but air dried them rather than using a dryer."

"Yes they could be heavy when wet, but treat them with waterproofing product and they are OK. Extremely tuff, very comfortable, and REALLY briarproof. I used them A LOT last season, and would buy another pair anytime... But not soon !"

I tried my new Sahara Cloth Leather-Faced Biar Pants for the first time this year on pheasant opener. At first they seemed great; however, as I walked out into the tall wet grass they began to get heavier and heavier. To the point where I had to stop multiple times to rest my hip flexor muscles. They soaked up the water like a sponge. I usually have had great success with Orvis products."
