"This belt is exceptionally well-made, like most Orvis products I've come across. THe buckle is rugged and chunky and the whole belt has a lovely weathered look. It's ideal for jeans and casual wear. Make sure you order one size up from your regular pants size as there's a lot of room for tightening but nearly no room for expansion!
My only negative point: The buckle's front cross-bar has a pattern which bites into the leather of the belt. If you change size enough to warrant shifting a hole it may show inelegant as there is a mark left imprinted. This happens of course to all belts, just on this belt it's more pronounced."

"This belt is well crafted and wears well. Recommended. Keep in mind that the width fits jeans very well, but may not fit smaller belt loops. The buckle is of a fair size, somewhat larger than the photo suggests. Leather will darken slightly with age."

"Hands down one of the better made belts I've purchased from Orvis. It has a large silver colored buckle with an engraved roller bar. The light saddle brown Italian leather is tanned to perfection and the stitching is immaculate. I expect this belt to last a lifetime! Made in the USA."

"Great belt. Received it as a Christmas gift. At first was too a little surprised by the size of the buckle, but with a pair of jeans it's a great casual belt. Durable, looks great, and quality made just like everything else made by Orvis. Would buy another one like it in a heartbeat."

"I have a totally different take on the color of the belt. My belt does not match the color at all in the picture and the reason I selected this belt is that it matched my boots perfectly. Moreover, the description on the package the belt came in indicates "chocolate" which is true to its color and not that in the picture. I may be returning this belt."

"I have one other Italian leather belt, a black one, which I like a lot. It is supple and pleasant to wear. I had been looking for something similar in brown and hoped that the description 'Italian leather' would mean that I would receive another supple belt. But this product is very stiff and after significant manipulation, it shows no sign of loosening up. I hope this condition will not persist."

"My husband insists on matching his belt to his shoes, and had "outgrown" his favorite lighter brown colored belt. Orvis to the rescue! "Chocolate" doesn't really describe the color - the on screen color is pretty close, so I was pleased to receive what I was expecting. The buckle lends the perfect casual touch for office casual. Like any good quality leather, this item can scratch, so you do need to take care of it."

"A substantial, smoothly finished jeans belt--wider than one might think, looking at the photo in catalog, and thus more 'western' or outdoor looking to my eye. The light color in photo is very true to the belt received (not always quite the case in online/catalog purchases, and the 'chocolate' designation I find curious). Size is spot on; my waistline wavers between 35 & 36 and there isn't 3 inches of flapping belt end when fastened, as sometimes happens when one follows a recommendation to order one size up from pants size."

"As another reviewer pointed out this belt is great for pale colored pants. The color on the website looked somewhat darker, and would have made it useful for a wider range of pant colors. Overall, a very high quality belt."
