"i bought this jacket for my husband for christmas. it is so soft, so luxurious, you can't beat it for the money. he has a long torso and long arms, but isn't tall enough for "tall men's" sizes--this jacket is plenty generous, fits him like a dream. he looks like a doll in it. i'm so glad that we found this jacket--have been looking for a stylish one for a long time. love the stand-up collar and knit ribbing. guess we love everything about it!"

"this is a nice looking jacket but there is one big problem. The band around the bottom is not tight enough. It shoud fit tight around your waist allowing the jacket to blouse above the band. It's too big and loose causing the jacket to hang straight down over your butt. Make that tighter and you have a good product. If not I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they like a jacket that hangs down below your waist."

"I've been a customer of Orvis for a good many years. I purchased this jacket as an identical replacement of one that is at lease 7 years old. To my suprise I discovered they had removed the scalloped cape off the back. This was a noticeable change and not one I was expecting. That was one of the features I really liked. I kept the jacket because I am a size different now, not that I liked it so much. There must have been a good reason to change the design. The quality remains excelent."

"I gave this to my teenage son for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it! (He's a classic khaki kind of kid.) It's the perfect weight for our relatively mild Texas winters - 30's to 60's on any given day.
It looks great on him, and so far the jacket has suffered teendom pretty well - elbows on restaurant tables, getting accidentally splashed with water by younger brother, etc. - and doesn't look any the worse for wear.
I bought it to be a little big so he could wear it for a few years, but if he outgrows it, I'll be back for another one just like it!"

"I bought this for my grandfather who wanted to replace his vintage 70's silk nap suede jacket by Grais. This is almost identical except the Orvis version is slightly heavier in weight and does not have a full silk-like interior...only the sleeves. He really prefers the full silk interior as it keeps his shirt from getting bunched up. Otherwise, seems like a quality made jacket. Thanks Orvis!"
