"I pruchased the jacket in a size small as I recall the advertisement said they run large. I returned it for a minimum as they actually run toward the small size. It is a beautiful jacket and can be worn as a part of a dress wardrobe."

"When I ordered the jacket it went to backorder. It turns out it was well worth the wait. The jacket is sized generously without being baggy (I wear an extra large and am about center of that size range). It is rediculously soft and a perfect weight for the moderate winter weather here in the Phoenix, AZ area. The construction is flawless. Appearance-wise, how can you beat classic tweed in a brown/green. It works well for winter and will carry through to the early, cool days of spring. A hit all around. Now, if I can just figure out how to keep my wife from stealing in from me..."

"I've purchased a few products from Orvis and the quality is incomperable. Handsomely tailored and stylish and this jacket is often praised.
I purchased mine in blue, a color they seem to have discontinued for some strange reason, and find it to be perfect for Autumn and Spring.
All their clothing is consistently larger than usual so it's best to drop down a size.
And their shipping method is one of the slowest, cheapest ways to deliver their product. A 3-hour door-to-door drive required an excess of 7 days to arrive. That's just nonsense."

"Just purchased this jacket a few weeks ago and I'm already receiving many compliments about it's look, style, color etc. The fit is excellent. I recommend ordering one size smaller than you normally wear since Orvis jackets are large and roomy. I'm very pleased with this jacket. Thanks!"

"I have owned and enjoyed a camel colored version of this jacket for years. I would give that jacket 5 Stars if Orvis still carried it. My satisfaction led me to buy this tweed style to give me a different look to wear with kakis etc. I had to special order since my store did not have any in stock to try on/touch/feel. Upon reciept and initial inspection I discovered the jacket design and fit to be the same as the one I love but could measurably tell that the weight was much lighter. I like the jacket and have given it 4 Stars instead of 5 only because I am unsure why the jacket does not measure up in weight to previous versions. Still I would recomend but maybe as a fall spring jacket rather than the three season older version I have."

"This is a great looking jacket. However, I wish it was a bit roomier.
Also, the button pockets make them almost unusable. The only way in is from the center out. This would work much better if the button and flap were decorative and the slit for the pocket was recessed behind the flap in a more traditional manner. As such, I haven't worn the jacket yet because I am thinking about returning it. But it looks so good...."

"This jacket is a great all-around jacket. The wool shell and the cotton lining keeps me warm in nearly all temperatures. The jacket breathes and is extremely comfortable. The cut allows generous movement. It is also a great flight jacket, with that great 1940's WWII look."

"Hello,
Being my first time placing an order with Orvis, I am writing to make aware of how disappointed I am in your sizing. I ordered the Tweed Jacket, size L and it seems it has been cut to an extreme measure, almost representing and fitting as an XXL.
After spending $201.81, and I now see it's costing me $6.95 to return it---I asked for a medium, and was talked into a large; rather than have your sales dept. be so eager to recommend something that is not manufactured true to size, it should be thoroughly explained that Orvis sizing is twice the norm. I'm not very pleased.
