When Orvis CEO Perk Perkins began searching for a jacket he could wear comfortably around the office as well as out on the town, his choice was something both luxurious and distinctively casual. He chose an incredibly soft, chamois-like suede in a classic cut to make our sport jacket a match for any outfit. This men's leather blazer has exclusive details, including unpadded shoulders and four interior pockets, one with zip closure. Three exterior pockets. Lightweight twill lining for comfort. Removable throat latch. Functional button cuffs. Men's leather blazer in brown. Genuine goat suede. Professionally clean. Imported.Regular even sizes: 36-50. 31½" long in size 44.

"Beautiful jacket but too large even though I ordered my size as listed. This is true of other Orvis products - check with customer services before ordering - generous sizing. Other wise very good. Have returned fro a smaller size."

"I've bought a couple of things from Orvis in the past but held off on this jacket because of the price - I finally decided to bite the bullet in the sale and very glad that I did as it is excellent quality.
The only thing I would say is check your size, I bought mine online and customer service were very helpful by giving me the actual measurements of the jacket, in the UK I am a 42/44 (usually a 42 in M&S or Austin Reed) and here I bought a 40 and it was just right, if in doubt go to a store and try on.
Highly recommended !!"

"This jacket is just fine. Most surprising in this day of creeping extra-large-ism, it was exactly the size ordered. I am very happy with the fit, the finish, and the feel, and like the old W&G line, it nicely crosses from city to country and back again. Glad I ordered it."

"I love Orvis products, but it seems as if there is a sizing or fit problem with much of the outerwear I order. Such was the case with the Presidential suede blazer. I tried on a size 44 (the only size in stock) at the Charlotte store, and it was too large. I ordinarily wear a 42, so that is the size I ordered. The jacket was beautiful, and obviously carefully crafted. The problem was the fit around the shoulders. It did not drape as I would expect from a natural shouldered blazer, and simply did not look right. Oddly, the shoulders of the 44 seemed perfect had it not been too large. I truly regret I was unable to keep this item, and wish I could have gotten a better fit. Wish I could have written a more positive review."

"I am generally not the sort who would spend the money on myself and I hesitated at buying this blazer. But after deliberating for 3 months I took the plunge. This blazer is truly exceptional! It is very well tailored, the fit is perfect, and the suede is soft, supple and just gorgeous. I had it on for 3 minutes before I had every lady in my office tell me what a great looking jacket I was wearing. I simply love it."

"I owned a Suede Blazer like this one when I was young, and the on-line and catalog photographs of the Orvis Presidential Suede looked identical. I couldn't have been more excited, especially on sale! Unfortunately, the actual color of the one I received is a much darker brown than the golden hue depicted. Also, the roll of the collar is sloppy, partially because of the very lightweight nature of the Suede. As noted in other reviews, there is stitching that pieces the Suede together that is hardly noticeable in the photographs, but readily apparent in person. The lining does not carefully hug the interior of the coat, and I worry that, over time, it will hang visibly outside. There was also a slight blemish in the Suede in a very obvious place (the front collar), looking as if I'd already spilled and stained the jacket. I contacted Orvis' chat line and, of course, an exchange was offered, or a refund, or accommodation. I chose the accommodation, and hope I don't regret not trying a second one that might have been lighter in color, unblemished, a bit heavier for collar roll shaping, and lined with greater precision. NONETHELESS, I am thrilled that I could even come close to reliving the relaxed fit, natural shoulder, traditional design, flapped pockets, real buttonholes, and heavenly feel and aroma of the jacket of my youth."

"Might seem obvious from where it is on the website, but when you look at the picture you might have a different expectation. So the 36" I ordered was way too big for me (I'm a 38") because you're expected to wear a jumper or some such underneath the jacket. So effectively it is more like a 40". This is a crying shame because the jacket is fantastic, the most beautiful suede and wonderfully made. If only they had one my size - that is only reason I'm not giving at a 5 !"

"I'd wanted this jacket since the first time I saw it. So I finally ordered it. The fit and finish were everything I hoped for, but the Color, no where near whats pictured online or in the catalog.
The customer rep agreed totally with me and offered to have the inventory searched for a replacement. Didn't hear back from her. So I emailed, that rep said if I didn't like to return it... I may just do that."

"After coming across the Presidential Suede Blazer in your store in Wales I spent six months looking for another jacket of similar quality and style. After talking to a variety of other suppliers, we all seemed to agree that the Orvis Presidential was an outstanding piece of masculine tailoring. I haven't stopped wearing it. "I normally wear a 40 or 42 jacket. I ordered the 40 knowing that Orvis products can be cut generously. Even with a turtleneck and heavy sweater, this coat fit more like a barn jacket than a blazer. There is literally enough extra material through the mid section for this to be made into a double breasted jacket. I am 6', 180lbs. the sleeves were good and shoulders good, but the mid section is cut for someone weighing a good 40-50 lbs more"

"I purchased this coat for my husband for a Christmas party, I'm hesitant about purchasing suede on line, but I didn't have any other options because of the rural area in which we live. I was very impressed with the softness and the stitiching quality, not to mention the cut and the fit.,..it was perfect., as a matter of fact people at our party commented on the look of the jacket., They, along with me think it looks great on my broad shouldered husband. "I bought this coat for myself as a lightweight travel jacket. I called Customer Service many times, to ask about sizing, but I could never speak to a product expert. Finally, I bought 2 different sizes, expecting to return one of them. The smaller size fit well, but I was disappointed in the product finish (the shoulders were not well sewn into the body of the jacket). In the end, I returned both jackets. I have never returned a product to Orvis before, and I suspect that this one a rare occurrence."

"although the blazer came beautifully packed and had a wonderful feel to it, soft and supple - being a large size (50) it looked blockish, with the lapels too skimpy. This jacket could do with some subtle tailoring and larger lapels, at least in the larger sizes."

"There's nothing like the smell of suede. When you wear it, you breathe it in. And like that morning cup of coffee or the newsprint from your paper, it's a familiar smell that keeps you nostalgic and content all day long. Beyond its scent, this jacket wears like a dream. Now, I'm not the kind of guy who wears suits, but, I love a nice sport coat. This one is so versatile and so durable that it can be worn everyday. It looks great with khakis, corduroys and, of course, your favorite jeans. You can dress it up with a tie or go all Western and wear it with a bolo. It's color is rich and goes with any other shade on the spectrum. Beyond its rugged good looks and supple suede scent, this jacket is also quite a value. Broken in, it looks even better than the first time you pulled it off the hanger and slipped it on. It's style never goes out of date so it's a coat you can wear from now until the apocalypse (in fact, it's so durable, it may even protect you from the falling debris during the end of days). In other words, it's well worth its low price. Leave it to Orvis to create a jacket that can weather a meteor shower and look good doing it. Oh, and women love soft suede. When I wear it, my wife can't keep her hands off me. So, I'm constantly looking for reasons to wear it. I may even slip it on this summer! If it means more touching, color me sweating in suede!
